| It is becoming very clear that Burgess wants tough defensive players to stay in the game and use flair players like Williams, Ashton, Dufty and Wrench to break up play. It’s the likes of replacing low mobility low minutes players like Kasiano and Dudson with strong defensive hard working forwards. We already have Harrison, Nicholson, Crowther and there are not many better out there than Yates. It’s a yes please from me.

| Lord Tony Smith:
Nothing surprises me at this club anymore. We are a circus. Having heard what Musgrove had done it's no wonder he has been sacked. This is a bloke who had numerous convictions for assault before we signed him, yet we still proceeded to sign him, do we ever learn?
I can't believe there has been no club statement yet to ease fans fears over the incident. I was told about this incident on Monday yet here we are five days later and absolute silence from the club.
I thought I'd list some of the dud signings we've made over the last few years:-
Greg Inglis, Alfie Johnson, Peter Mata'utia, Ben Pomeroy, Anthony Gelling, Chris Sandow, Tyrone Roberts, Zane Musgrove, Brad Dwyer, Leilani Latu, Kyle Amor, Dan Russell, Luther Burrell, Billy Magoulias, Josh McGuire, Roy Asotasi, Lama Tasi, Welsey Bruines, Oliver Holmes, Greg Minikin, Gil Dudson, Mitch Brown, Bodene Thompson, Samy Kibula, Keanan Brand, Gary Wheeler, Ryan Bailey, Matty Blythe, Matty Smith, Mitchell Dodds, Dom Crosby, Rob Butler, Sam Kasiano.
There's probably more I've missed.
That was quite emotional reading that list.

| I quite liked Bodene Thompson but it is quite a list & some pretty poor signings.

I heard some whisper about a weapon involved. Shocking if true. He's a wrong 'un as even a basic search on the web will attest. That recruitment list is so telling. To be fair we have made some standout signings : Ashton, Vaughan, Dufty, Walker and some good ones like Fitzgibbon, Tai, Yates, Sneyd, Harrison, Powell etc but they are very few and far between. Following the latest disciplinary sh itshow I smile when I recall this crap from the chief clown himself crowing to the national press: "The big things we looked at are character and leadership qualities. Were the new players aligned with the culture we want to create? The first thing was, ‘What’s their character like?’ We’re seeing that". We then sign grubs like McGuire and Musgrove. RE managing the PR, the club are always behind the ball. I understand a disciplinary process may be underway but a place holder statement could have been released before we have to read about it in the RL press, Facebook and on here. Circus - great description and it starts at the very top.

It put Burgess in a very awkward and uncomfortable position in his press conference, having to answer a question about Musgrove's absence, when some sort of official statement could have been put out earlier, saying something along the lines of there being an ongoing internal investigation so we can't say any more at this stage. Not difficult really, but we manage to screw it up.

Not difficult really, but we manage to screw it up. Exactly. The club should know it leaks like a sieve, that there was no way of keeping it quiet, and could have made a statement exactly as you said before the Wakefield game. I think the logic of the clown is to keep it all quiet so as not to do anything that may take the limelight away from the glitzy Friday night programme of events planned. When will he realise that results drive attendance and revenue? We don't need fireworks, lightshows, gimmicks, live bands playing Zombie, photo sessions with the challenge cup. All we want is an honest, transparent, well run club with quality players playing exciting RL, united in a common goal giving their absolute all. Come back Andy Gatcliffe and Tony Smith. I didn't realise how lucky we were at the time to have them.
